Mini Twists
It's back.......
It's officially Summertime, and we are starting it off with one of our favorite protective style.....Mini Twists!
After N went swimming, I washed and conditioned her hair. Placed her hair in 5 braids and she went to bed. In the morning, once her hair was dry, I unraveled her braids and banded her hair.
I started creating two strand twists in the back of her hair. I used Eco Styler Gel mixed with Bee Mine Curly Butter for hold. I applied this mix to each section before I twist. Once I reach the ends of the twist, I curled the ends of her hair with my finger, to stop it from unraveling along with adding more of our mix.
It took us over 6 hours to complete, which is the longest EVER! I never made the twists this small, so they should last awhile.

How is your little one rocking their hair this summer?

Beautiful hair for a very beautiful little girl! I've never tried banding on dry hair before, only on wet. Definitely have to try that next time I do B's hair!
Will you wash in.between or wait til you take them out? How long you plan to keep them in? They look great!
Thanks Dominique!!!
I will not wash inbetween, once water touches her hair, it destroys the style. I plan on keeping it in for at least 3 weeks, and Ill post more updates on her mini twists. Thanks hun
Great job, as always! We put mini-twists in over the weekend - my daughters hair is below shoulder length on the perimeter, but her crown seems shorter. It all shrinks up to just below chin length. It STILL took almost the same amount of time (6 hours) for us to complete her twists over two days. Thought maybe it was because I applied Flaxseed gel and BM butter to each section to be twisted too, or maybe it's because it's our first time going mini! I don't know how long it will last due to a scalp issue, but I have my fingers crossed for a few weeks. (We tried washing this style last time - like you said, DISASTER! lol)
