I went to my local Walmart and decided to look around for some new hair goodies. I found this Suave Professional 100% Natural Almond+Shea Butter Conditioner. It cost under 3 dollars so I decided to give it a try. I washed N's hair and then applied this conditioner in sections all over her hair. I let it sit for about 15 mins, then I did a light rinse out. I really like the scent! It's consistency is thick and creamy, and when I rinsed it out, her hair felt very soft. I even left a little in as a leave in. In the morning she did have a slight residue of it in her hair. Overall this conditioner is okay, and for under 3 dollars I couldn't beat that. I will add this to our routine as a rinse out conditioner, in the mean time I will continue to search for something that won't leave a residue.

*UPDATE: Well yesterday, I noticed N kept scratching her hair. I don't like to blame products it could be a combo of things that can make a child itch. This was a new product added to our routine, so I will keep an eye out on it, and I recommend washing it out, rather than leaving some of it in as a leave in conditioner.

Thanks for the review, good info, I love reviews, because I always wonder about products while I am browsing :). Have you tried VO5? I just bought two kinds, you can check them out on my blog.

I love the smell of this conditioner too. I noticed my youngest daughters scalp was super itchy after trying to use this as a leave in as well. I do like it for detangling though!!! I used the shampoo and conditioner on me and as always with suave products my scalp was itchy too. ( I am white and have wavy very dry and frizzy hair )But for the price it works great as a detangler!!

After trying the shampoo of the same name and loving it, I started using this conditioner for the first time last week. I used it according to instructions and did NOT leave any in. Three days later my head and forehead around the hairline started itching like crazy. The next time after use the itchiness was followed by an extreme tingly/crawling sensation, then the next time, included a burning sensation (which was when I realized that it was the conditioner and stopped using it.) I do have mildly sensitive skin but have never had a problem with Suave products before. It's safe to say I will be staying away from this one from now on!

You guys may have a known or unknown nut allergy.

I love this conditioner!!! Try adding some avocado oil to it... If you don't have avocado... Jojoba or olive oil will work as well... And Diana Johnson is right it might be a nut allergy :-)
