Evening With The Stars Event/ 3 Styles Combo

N's Girl Scout Troop had put together a wonderful event for the girls, and their male role models. The theme of the event is "Evening With The Stars"!! N had a BLAST!!! I wanted to give her a hairstyle that only a 6 yr old Star would have! So I decided to do a mixture of styles a twist out, sock bun and veil style combined. I think it came out pretty and she LOVED IT!

Instructions:

1.) I started her prep-style the day before, so her hair was already washed, moisturized, and the back of her hair was in two-strand twists.

2.) Beginning with the top section, I made 4 individual square boxes on the top of her hair. I used black rubberbands to section it off, then I added 4 on the left side, and 4 on the right side (so a total of 12 individual boxes.)

3.) Next, I began doing a two-strand twist in each of the boxes.

4.) Then I took the front two-strand twist and I crossed them over each other, into the boxes underneath it. Then I added more rubberbands to hold it in place. I continued criss-crossing each section into the section underneath it.

5.) I continued steps 3-4 on the right, and left side, of her hair.

6.) When the top of her was complete, I added the remaining hair into a ponytail, and then I made a sock bun.

7.) I unraveled the twists in the back of her hair, and sprayed Bee Mine Juicy Spritz for shine and added a flower accessory.

Veil Style Into Cornbraids

This style I did a month ago, and I totally forgot to post it lol. It's a Veil Style going into cornbraids with added pink beads.
Instructions:
1.) I made a part going across her hair, basically ear to ear. I tied up the back section, to get it out of our way, we will use it later.
2.) Starting with the front section I made 3 squares, and I used black rubber bands to separate each square.
3.) I added one pink bead to each section on top of the black rubber bands.
4.) Next, I made 2 twists (two-strand twists) in each square.

5.) Behind my 3 squares, I made 4 smaller squares. I started by making a part in the middle, behind the center square.
6.) Next, the two twists coming from the front center square, I put one going into the second row's square, on the right, and one on the left.
7.) I added rubber bands to secure the twists. I placed two beads, in the two middle sections, and one bead, on the side sections near each ear.
8.) I unraveled the back section of the hair, and made 4 parts going down her hair.
9.) I added the twisted hair into the four sections, and began cornbraiding.
10.) At the end of the cornbraids, I added three beads.
Approx time: 45 minutes-1 hour
Tools Used:
-Wide Tooth Comb
-Pink Jumbo Beads from Curly Princess Hair Boutique
-Black Rubber bands

Fall/Harvest Theme Hairstyle

I wanted to do a style that has a fall theme. Starting with well moisturized hair, I made a part in her hair from ear to ear. Next I parted her hair in half, straight down the middle and section off the four sides (think of a plus(+) sign). Next I took one of the top sides and split that down the middle, and then made two parts going across. Which made a total of 6 small individual boxes, on the front section.

I did the same on the other top half of hair creating a total of 12 boxed sections on the top of her hair. 6 on one side, and 6 on the other. I used a rubber band to separate and tie off each box. I began twisting each section of hair (right over left, and repeat) all the way to the ends of her hair.

Once all 12 sections were twisted, I started to criss-cross the individual twist.
Finally, I began making 5 parts in the back of her hair. I took the last twisted section of hair (on top) and unraveled it a bit and began braiding it. I continued to braid her hair and then began cornrowing the hair all the way down. At the end, I added the beads.

Time approx.1 hour
