Little Miss "A"
"A" is my baby sister, she is 12 years old and is very creative in visual arts, she loves music and most of all Michael Jackson lol
Its hard to find a style for pre-teens/teens you don't want them to look like a baby and you don't want them to look too grown. But this style is cute and age appropriate, this is how you achieve the look.

Start by making 4 cornbraids in the middle of the hair, and braid half-way down.
Next, Make 4 parts (going down) on the sides. Begin braiding the first part going down. Make the next braid going up, and make sure to connect the first braid into the next braid, by continuing the same cornrow. Continue doing this until all the 4 parts are braided, in the pattern, going up & down.

The last step, flat iron the hair in the back, and add some curls.

that is pretty and i agree, definitely age appropriate. i know a few teens who could use this, with their grown selves...i hate seeing kids with lots of weave in their hair..a baby does NOT need a lacefront!! i love this post!

Thanks :-) OMYGOSH a baby with a lacefront, I've now heard it all!!! I seen kids in my daughters pre-school (when she was 3) with perms/weaves but not a lacefront wig!! WOW !! Im glad their are women like us, who start a blog trying to help show creative styles and tips, to help these moms. So they don't have to go to such extremes. But I think a 12 yr old needs to look 12 years old, no older!! Looking grown sends the wrong message.

Her hair is great! I agree with the above comments. You don't want a 12-year-old looking like a grown 20-year-old. The style is perfect for her age and nicely done. <3333

Love Ya Kandy!
