Product Review+Giveaway: Lilla Rose Flexi-Clip Hair Accessory

I was given the cool opportunity to review the gorgeous Lilla Rose Flexi Hair Clip, thanks to Renee

Isn't it Purdy!! lol This is the Open Heart Dangle in Large. The Flexi Clips come in a variety of sizes from small to large. I used the size instructional video to help me determine which size to use.

When I opened the package and showed N, she became super excited and wanted to wear it ASAP. But unfortunately we didn't have a fancy place to wear this (sigh) But we will gladly rock it to Walmart ahahaha. But seriously this clip is very well put together, with a beautiful intricate design and jewels. I was worried that while she was busy playing (roughly) this would fall out of her hair, and she would loose the pin stick in the back of the flexi clip. I was totally wrong, the pin stick is attached to the clip, so you cannot lose it, perfect!

They are currently having a "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" Special until the end of June!

After your finished drooling over it. You have the chance to actually WIN it!

2 Lucky Winners will win a Lilla Rose Flexi Clip of their choice valued up to $16.

Party Bun

I was inspired by Une Naturelle, she created this gorgeous updo called "The Party Bun." Once I seen the style, I shared it on my Facebook and I knew I had to try it.

This is how to recreate "The Party Bun."

1.) I washed N's hair the night before styling, and put her hair into a total of 6 twists. 3 on the left side of her hair, and 3 on the right side.

2.) Once her hair was dry, I applied a little moisturizer on each section, and re-twisted it.

3.) I added 6 black hair ties to each section.

4.) Starting with the bottom two twists, I made them cross each other, then I wrapped the hair around the middle sections.

5.) Then I took the top 2 sections, crossed them and wrapped them around the middle section also.

6.) Finally I took the middle sections and wrapped them around each other.

7.) I used several bobby pins to hold everything on place.

25 Mins Or Less Style: Braided Headband Into A Bun

It's been awhile since I've created a hairstyle for our 25 mins segment. I saw this style on Pinterest (If you are on it, come follow us-click here-) Once I seen it, I saved the photo and tried to do a child's rendition of it.

I watched this Youtube video to help me create the headband braid.

It didn't come out as cute as her's, because I braided on the hair line instead of down. I will definitely try this headband braid again lol.

Instructions:

1.) In the front of the hair create the headband braid.

2.) Starting in the back of the hair, create one large cornbraid going upwards.

3.) Stop the cornbraid where you would like the bun to be.

4.) I created a messy bun, and use a hair tie to form the bun. A cute sock bun, or afro puff would also look great.

That's It!! Simple and cute! this would also make a really pretty style for a night out!

Evening With The Stars Event/ 3 Styles Combo

N's Girl Scout Troop had put together a wonderful event for the girls, and their male role models. The theme of the event is "Evening With The Stars"!! N had a BLAST!!! I wanted to give her a hairstyle that only a 6 yr old Star would have! So I decided to do a mixture of styles a twist out, sock bun and veil style combined. I think it came out pretty and she LOVED IT!

Instructions:

1.) I started her prep-style the day before, so her hair was already washed, moisturized, and the back of her hair was in two-strand twists.

2.) Beginning with the top section, I made 4 individual square boxes on the top of her hair. I used black rubberbands to section it off, then I added 4 on the left side, and 4 on the right side (so a total of 12 individual boxes.)

3.) Next, I began doing a two-strand twist in each of the boxes.

4.) Then I took the front two-strand twist and I crossed them over each other, into the boxes underneath it. Then I added more rubberbands to hold it in place. I continued criss-crossing each section into the section underneath it.

5.) I continued steps 3-4 on the right, and left side, of her hair.

6.) When the top of her was complete, I added the remaining hair into a ponytail, and then I made a sock bun.

7.) I unraveled the twists in the back of her hair, and sprayed Bee Mine Juicy Spritz for shine and added a flower accessory.

Products Used: Bee Mine Juicy Spritz
Tangle Teezer Brush (review very soon)
Rubberbands/Hair Tie and Flower

Approx Time: 35 mins.

Sock Bun

This is one of my favorite hairstyles, I think it looks so elegant and the funny thing is, you need a sock to get this style.

Instructions:

1.) Start with moisturized, detangled hair.

2.) Lightly brush all of the hair into a simple ponytail, and use a hair tie to hold the ponytail.

3.) Buy a sock that is similar to your hair color, so we used a dark brown sock.

4.) Cut a hole at the sole of the sock.
5.) Roll the sock up nice and neatly, it should resemble a donut or bagel.

6.) Put the sock through the hair, that is in the ponytail.

7.) Now, smooth the hair evenly around the sock so that the sock is no longer visible.

8.) Use hair colored hair ties to wrap around the sock to form a bun.

9.) Repeat step # 8 as many times as it takes to secure the bun.

10.) The hair that is out of the bun you could either tuck it in, or twist it around the bun, and secure it with either a hair tie or bobby pin. We chose to twist the hair and secure with another hair tie.

11.) Add a cute flower or accessorize.

Time: Approx 10-15 minutes

Products Used:
-Bee Loved Hair & Scalp Moisturizer
-Bee Mine Curly Butter
- Wide Tooth Comb
