Kandy's (?) Time

Do you deep condition your hair, or your child's hair? If so, how often?

  1. I do and I use heat I let her sit under the hooded dryer for 20 min I do it every wash once a week or once every two weeks

  2. I do both of us. I do it about once a month on Des and on myself every couple of months. Des sits with a grocery bag on her head for 30 minutes to an hour depending on the DC treatment I am using.

  3. I deep condition both my hair and my daughter's once a week. I apply the deep conditioner and twist the hair in a few large chunky twists and we both sit under the Huetiful steamer. It makes a huge difference when I skip that step, especially for my daughter's hair.

  4. I do, pretty sporadically though. Well, I guess it averages out to about once a month. I'll put conditioner on her hair with the shower cap on for about 20 minutes. For myself, I do the same thing but I'll stay in the hot, steamy shower for that 20 mins while my hair is covered up. I wouldn't do that every day though, hot showers may dry out your skin in the winter. All things in moderation!

  5. Bunny and I religiously deep conditioned ever single week all summer long, then school started back up and it kind of went to the back burner.

I found a solution though! We do a coconut oil treatment on DRY hair. Halfway through the week I rub coconut oil into out hair and we'll chill with a shower cap and towel (to keep body heat in) over that for about any hour.

Saves time because you don't have to rinse out but it still leaves your hair super shiny and moisturized :D

  6. On Ally, I deep condition about once a month. Li'l Bit and The Princess get a hot olive oil treatment every time we wash. The Princess gets a treatment once a month with Shea Moisture's Anti Breakage MAsque also.

  7. I deep condition my hair once every week and a half, and my daughters every 2 weeks, when I take her braids out. It's made a huge difference in the health of her hair.
