Avlon Keracare Naturals Textures- Product Review

Remember the free sample post on KeraCare naturals, if not click here. I received my order a few months ago, and they sent quite a few samples packets for me to try. It has taken me awhile to review them all, plus review other lines. But here is the 411 on KeraCare while using it on N.

Cleansing Cream

Sulfate Free Moisturizing Curl Wash
Gently cleanses hair and scalp while neem leave extract helps eliminate scalp bacteria.
Eliminate styling product build up.
Eases combing.
Soothes and clarifies dry or itchy scalp conditions.

Ingredients: Aqueous (Water, Aqua Purificato, Purified) Extracts: Azadirachta Indica (Neem)1, Phyllanthus Emblica (Amla)1, Acacia Concinna (Shikakai)1, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cetearyl Alcohol2, Cetyl Alcohol2, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Glycerin1, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil1, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil1, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil1, Poyquaternium-10, Piroctone Olamine, Potassium Sorbate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance/Parfum, Benzyl Benzoate.

Review: I followed the directions on the back of the packet, for instructions on how to use it. I applied it to N's wet hair and worked it in. Immediately, her hair felt squeaky clean. It stripped her hair of everything, just like they claim. But I personally enjoy a more moisturizing shampoo, I don't like using these kinds of shampoos unless I'm clarifying her hair. I would definitely recommend this as a clarifying shampoo. It felt just as stripped, as sulfate shampoo, but minus the sulfate. When it came to detangling, it didn't help whatsoever! N's hair felt brittle and I made sure to add plenty of conditioner. Overall, I most likely won't purchase the full size.

Review: This product mixed with Bee Mine Curly Butter is HOTTT!! I have no idea why I decided to mix the too, but I'm glad I did. I normally add Bee Mine Curly Butter to N's hair while braiding. But lately with her sweating in this summer heat, her hair starts frizzing just a few hours later. I decide to add this butter cream and Bee Mine Curly Butter to her braids, and it is amazing!! Typically her braids only last days and then it is a frizz city! But, by combining the two products her style lasted .....2 weeks (woo-hoo) and it still didn't have alot of frizz. I only removed the style, so that I can do her back to school hairstyle (coming soon.) I am very pleased with this product and I will definitely order more. It seems like lately I'm finally finding what works well for N's hair! The saying is very true " Trial and Error" keep trying different blends and products until you find the right one for you!

  3. I agree that I don't like squeaky clean hair - most likely it means the oils are being stripped right out. We need those oils for shiny, healthy hair!
